Target Market Determinations (TMDs)

Sydney street

What is a Target Market Determination (TMD)?

A Target Market Determination (TMD) is a document that explains the types of customers a financial product has been designed for and who it is likely to be appropriate for. It also outlines any conditions on how the product may be distributed and the circumstances that may require the TMD to be reviewed.

A TMD is designed to help ensure financial products are offered to the customers they are intended for. It is a regulatory document and is not personal financial advice or a recommendation that a particular product is suitable for you. Before deciding whether to apply for one of our products, you should consider the relevant product information and disclosure documents.

Why does Islamic Money Australia publish Target Market Determinations?

Islamic Money Australia is required to prepare and maintain Target Market Determinations under the Design and Distribution Obligations contained in Part 7.8A of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

These obligations are intended to ensure that financial products are designed with customers in mind and are distributed in a way that is likely to result in good consumer outcomes. They also require us to regularly review our products and their Target Market Determinations to ensure they remain appropriate for the customers they are designed to serve.

Fantastic service, all from here in Australia.

We know how frustrating the big four can be. So all of our staff give out their direct phone numbers - so you can speak to them directly when you need to.

Ask your current provider to do that for you.
